Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and old Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to play and sing at an early age with her mother. She was given more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved in America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps her involved in local activities both as an artist and instructor. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
